Service scope

Substrate preparation and application of suitable fire protection systems for industrial and structural steelwork.

  • Extended structural resistance during fire
  • Controlled preparation and compatible coating layers
  • Workshop or on-site application
Applications

Assets and components this service is designed for.

For steel elements where the project requires passive protection and defined structural performance during fire.

01

Load-bearing steelwork in industrial and logistics facilities

02

Columns, beams, trusses and other specified structural elements

03

New workshop-coated components and existing on-site structures

Our method

A clear process. A controlled result.

01

Technical review

We define the substrate, service conditions, scope and required outcome.

02

Substrate preparation

The surface is prepared using a process matched to the material and protection system.

03

System application

Layers are applied under control, in line with the project specification and technical documentation.

04

Inspection

We check the completed condition and prepare the project for handover.

System selection

The solution starts with evidence, not assumptions.

A fire protection coating is not a universal product. The system is confirmed only after the project requirement, profile and existing layers are known.

  1. 01Required fire resistance and project documentation
  2. 02Geometry, section factor and condition of the steel element
  3. 03Compatibility of primer, fire protection and topcoat layers
  4. 04Application conditions and subsequent exposure
Quality control

A controlled process from substrate to final coat.

Preparation, layer sequence and inspection points are defined before work starts. Application conditions and required system characteristics are checked against the approved technical documentation.

Common questions
Is the coating applied in the workshop or on site?

Both are possible. The choice depends on component dimensions, transport, construction stage and site conditions.

Can fire protection coating be applied over an existing primer?

Only after condition and compatibility checks. An existing layer should not remain without confirmation that it belongs to the selected system.
